Attending a Burial
On the day, staff will be on hand to direct you to the service and answer any questions you may have. Here are a few points you may like to know in advance of attending a service at Binning Memorial Wood.
Parking
On service days, you can drive into the wood where a parking area will be signposted. If you require disable parking please make yourself known to the parking attendant at the gate and they will direct you to a suitable parking space. If visiting a loved one, please park in the main carpark at the gates.
Dress Code
Services are held outdoors, therefore we recommend that you wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the woodland terrain and weather on the day.
Children
Children are welcomed with an accompanying adult.
Etiquette
Please switch off your mobile phone during your visit.
Flowers
You can bring flowers. We are also happy for wild flower seeds and bulbs to be planted but would ask that you let us know before doing so.
Arrival Time
Please be aware that during the winter months it can be very cold in the wood. Therefore, you should aim to arrive no sooner than half an hour of the service start time.
WC
Facilities are available during services.
